After School Program

We are currently enrolling our After School Program!

Or

This Fall, New Village Farm will partner with Alex Hudson of the Creative Mindfulness School to provide our After School Program.

Alex S. Hudson is a certified meditation teacher, stage actor, college professor, public speaking instructor, and mother. Over the years, Alex has drawn many thematic parallels between acting and meditating. Through this experience, she has developed a unique framework for teaching mental wellness-seekers how to live more mindfully and peacefully in an increasingly agitating world. In her work, Alex offers a meditation practice for living in the present, playfully and at peace. Gratitude, resilience and presence are the core values of the school.

Our After School program will include a blend of both farm education and creative mindfulness practice. In this program, we strive to engage kids’ sense of collaboration, to develop resilience and problem solving skills, and to build their toolkit to manage stress and overwhelm.

For kids attending Shelburne Community School, a farm staff member will meet your child at the front office of Shelburne Community School at 1:50 pm (on Wednesdays, early release days) or 2:50 pm (Mondays and Thursdays) and walk them to New Village Farm. Children from other schools may be dropped off at the farm at 2:30 pm (Wednesdays) and 3:30 pm (Mondays & Thursdays). Pick up is at 5:15 pm.
